Parson Drove has ten listed buildings from the 16th century onward, a 12th-century church of St John the Baptist in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, and "The Cage", built in 1829 as the village lock-up and fire-pump house; Samuel Pepys recorded a visit on 17 September 1663. Wisbech St Mary, two miles west of Wisbech, is built on a roddon (an old watercourse) and has a Grade II* church. Guyhirn sits on the north bank of the River Nene where the A141 meets the A47, and its Chapel of Ease, finished in 1660, is a rare church from the Interregnum.

The three fall in the Census 2021 ward of Parson Drove and Wisbech St Mary, with 5,440 residents in 2,333 households, of which 293 (12.6 per cent) rent privately.

Getting here

Guyhirn is on the A47, which links Wisbech with Peterborough (about 19 miles west of Parson Drove) and King's Lynn (about 21 miles east). The old Peterborough to Sutton Bridge and March to Spalding railways near Wisbech St Mary no longer carry passengers.
